Ingredients
- shrimpraw, peeled, deveined
- 1 lb
- salt
- 1 tsp
- black pepperground
- 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk
- 1/2 cup
- all-purpose flour
- 1 cup
- garlic powder
- 1 tsp
- onion powder
- 1 tsp
- smoked paprika
- 1 tsp
- oilfor frying

Method
- 01Add shrimp to a bowl or bag, season with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper, add buttermilk, mix, and let sit 10-15 minutes.15 min
- 02In a shallow bowl, combine flour with remaining 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- 03Remove shrimp one at a time from buttermilk, shake off excess, dredge in flour mixture, and place on a plate.
- 04Preheat 2 inches of oil in a Dutch oven to 350°F.5 min
- 05Drop 6-7 shrimp into hot oil and fry for 2 minutes.
- 06Remove shrimp onto a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate and serve hot with lemon wedges and dipping sauces.
